Today Ron Paul’s bills to “Audit the FED” passed in the house by an alarming rate, something he was looked upon stupidly before as he always brought it up. You want to know what else Ron Paul has been talking about but was always being dismissed? Glass-Steagall act which is all the rage right now. It’s the same law Bill Clinton got rid of in 1999 which has a deadly connection to whats happening now in the banking sector and what happened in 08. This whole summer we have heard nothing about the Glass-Steagall act on the mainstream news but its back now… Is it because it was mentioned in the HBO sitcom “Newsroom” ??

With there being nothing on this summer really to compete with, the “Newsroom” has become a hit show since episode 1, touching on how news should be delivered. It has already made the mainstream media look like idiots for how they handled everything the past couple years. In the most recent episode (Episode 5) Oliva Munn is teaching her boss about the Glass-Steagall act and explains the difference between commercial banks and investment banks. Since this happened this whole week people in the media and the one of the owners of Citibank talked about how congress must revisit this.

To be honest i might be reaching to say a show is helping congress revisit laws but something needs to happen because the economy is clearly on life support and this is one of its main problems. Glass-Steagalls need to be put back in order before these banksters take everything they forgot to take the first go round.
