This is really interesting. I love to surf around and found this. I really think it is well done and the writing is crisp and clear.

Nice job.

As a female, I think it's easy to target the females getting plastic surgery and question their reasons for doing so. The REAL problem though, in my opinion, are the men and society in general who reinforce and perpetuate these impossible standards of beauty. I find it interesting that you mention that men only lust after these "perfect" women in fantasy, but in the real world realize that they are fake. I would disagree. I mean just take a look at the types of females that guys approach whether it's at the club, mall, movies, whatever. How many of these are women look "normal"? I doubt many. They should be, but they usually aren't. I'm not going to put the blame all on guys though because I do realize that the media has tremendous influence on how our society defines beauty. I'll leave it at this - maybe it's time that we all start talking about the people who put these unattainable images of beauty into women's heads to get plastic surgery in the first place rather than just judging the women themselves.

Personal choice. I wouldn't get plastic surgery to please someone else, but if it is something "I" want done (regardless of how superficial), I don't see the problem with it. ALSO, females are not the only ones getting plastic surgery; there are guys out there walking around with fake calf muscles, pecs, and man parts!!
